Shrinkage Cone - Cement and Concrete shrinkage and expansion tester
The Shrinkage cone is designed with a double wall metal vessel for easy heating and cooling using an external liquid temperature control unit. A laser beam measures the very early shrinkage and expansion of building materials, cement and concrete: touch free and with 1 micron resolution

Shrinkage Drain – Cement and Concrete shrinkage and expansion tester
The Shrinkage Drain system is one of several instruments that Qualitest offers to measure the volume change during the setting and hardening of Concrete and other Building material. Mortar and Concrete changes in volume during setting and hardening; there are a number of factors that ifluence the shrinkage / expansion during this process such as; temperature changes, drying, van-der-Waals forces between small high surface particles, growing and shape changing of crystals and volume change of aggregates.

Thin Layer Shrinkage System – Cement and Concrete shrinkage and expansion tester
Some building materials like self-leveling flooring compounds ore plasters are applied in thin layers. These fast setting mortars set and harden within a couple of hours and subsequent drying of such a thin layer is generally terminated after the first day. In order to investigate the dynamics of early shrinkage and expansion Qualitest offers the Thin Layer Shrinkage System.

Bending Drain – Cement and Concrete shrinkage and expansion tester
The Bending Drain measures the shrinkage and bending of building materials during the setting and hardening process. The Bending Drain can also be used in simulating how the building material reacts to built in features such as real world electrical floor heating.
