This tester is used for determining the water absorption of paper. The method describes a procedure for determining the quantity of water absorbed by nonbibulous paper, paperboard, and corrugated fiberboard in a specified time under standardized conditions. This popular and widely used Test is also called Cobb and corresponds to TAPPI T441 standard.
