Our line of Coefficient of Friction Test instruments, can be configured to suit your individual needs for economical, quality control testing of Friction properties of film products. Each instrument is designed for ease of use and maintenance, while meeting the standards for ASTM testing. Films, Paper, and Foils can be tested with these instruments along with Heat or Chemical Seals.
In the past, film and sheet producers and converters have the choice of off-line Coefficient of friction (COF) testers which are manually operated stand-alone machines, or expensive computer-operated machines. Now you can have both in a single instrument. FX-7000 is a simple to use analog-based friction tester, and FX-7100 is a stand-alone digital-based tester with optional software for automatic calculation and graphical display of static and kinetic friction data.

COF, Peel, Seal, and Tensile Tester Model FX-7100-VSC
- Model FX-7100-VSC
- Digital, horizontal bed machine, similar to FX-7100 Series, with a variable speed drive, capable of running a variety of tests including COF, Peel, Seal, and Tensile up to 45 lb (20 kg) force.
- The bed utilizes a full ball-nut (rather than half-nut) allowing it to perform higher force tests.
- Speed range: 1 - 20 ipm
- Manual Mechanical grips for Peel, Seal, Tensile, are included as standard accessories.
- The base machine will come complete with one digital force gauge. A second force gauge could be added as option. If system is to be run for Peel / Seal only or for Peel / Seal / Tensile only, a larger capacity load cell would be recommended. If COF would also be run, then a 2nd lower capacity load cell should be ordered with the system.
