Rope
grips are used for testing of natural fibre, plastic or metallic
ropes and wires. These grips possess a load reduction roller
as well as a wedge clamping unit for clamping of the specimen
material ends. The clamping force is generated using a looping
and wedge action. The tensile gripping of the specimens will
be reduced by friction on the load reduction roller.
