Sample Preparation Machines are indispensible in the areas of plastics, metallurgy, textiles, and other manufacturing applications. During the testing of products for quality control, these machines help companies to examine their materials without creating tool marks, incipient cracks, induced stresses, and internal deformation on product samples. Otherwise, manufacturers risk inaccuracies due to distorting of the physical properties of the material being tested.
For plastic products, Qualitest recommends its SpeciCut II-P Sample Preparation Machine, a manually operated, economical way to prepare tensile bars and other samples. Recently, Qualitest delivered one of these machines to General Motors, which will be used to create top-of-the-line samples of the essential plastic parts that GM uses in its cars, trucks, and other vehicles.
The SpeciCut II-P is an enclosed machine which includes integral misting, chip removal, and motor speed regulation units. The chip shield around the control head protects the area around the unit from debris, while the sound-deadening feature absorbs much of the noise of the unit, creating the ideal atmosphere for testing in both manufacturing plants and laboratory environments.
