Theory and Method

QualiOPC™ OL1 uses the light-blocking method, also called the shading method. As particles pass through the sensing zone, they interrupt the laser beam, and the instrument converts those signal changes into particle size and particle count data. This method for its fast response, strong resistance to interference, good repeatability, and high measurement accuracy.

The instrument is designed for continuous online detection rather than batch-only testing. It can automatically monitor flowing fluid, report particle count and contamination level in real time, and allow the detection interval to be set as needed. The device also monitors flow through the sensor to help maintain stable measuring conditions.
