With HTD, We offer a technology that enables the quick (less than a minute) and accurate measurement of case depth in hardened layers, eliminating the need for operations such as sample sectioning, embedding, and polishing. This process is conducted without compromising the integrity of the workpiece.
The patented principle involves creating a single indentation by gradually applying load and measuring the reached depth at regular intervals, free from influences like bending or subsidence. This approach is equivalent to conducting a multitude of impressions at a single point.
Through the continuous acquisition of values detected during the progressive load application, the load-hardness curve is generated. With the help of a proprietary algorithm, this curve provides the depth of the heat treatment and a schematic representation of the hardened surface layer.
