Coefficient of Friction Tester - FX-7000
The Model FX-7000 F/W is our standard, stand-alone, digital COF Tester. It features a 6-inch/minute single-speed drive as per ASTM D-1894 or can be set to 100 mm/min drive speed for ISO 8295, along with a 0 - 1000 gram digital force gauge. This device accurately measures both Static and Kinetic COF values and provides force information display and export capabilities. It is ideal for determining static and kinetic friction on all substrates, including cartons, plastic film, coatings, textiles, and paper. The tester is compact, durable, user-friendly, and cost-efficient.
Qualitest's well-known base model in its range of COF, Peel & Seal Test Instruments, the Model FX-7000 F/W COF Tester, is designed to simplify the determination of Static and Kinetic COF for your film and sheet materials. It uses a digital force gauge to determine COF values and displays the results, including Static and Kinetic COF, along with force values.
Slide Angle testers are specifically designed for measuring Static COF values only, whereas horizontal bed versions can determine both Static and Kinetic COF values. Optional Sliding Blocks are available for the FX-7000 F/W horizontal bed system, enabling testing of various materials including shipping sacks, fiberboard, electrical insulation paper, printed paper, and corrugated materials. Additionally, Peel/Seal fixtures, tensile grips, and other accessories are available to expand the capabilities of your tester.
