Theory and Method
Internal water pressure test
The internal test pressurizes a sealed pipe section to a defined pressure and checks for leakage or pressure loss over the required hold time. QualiCPTM™ uses bolted fastening and a rubber plate seal to maintain a watertight closure during pressurization. Pressure is monitored using a gauge display, and the pumping system supplies water injection to reach the target pressure.
External compressive strength test
The external test applies a controlled compressive load to evaluate pipe strength. ASTM C497/C497M includes external load crushing strength approaches widely used for concrete pipe evaluation. QualiCPTM™ provides digital force display with peak capture so operators can record maximum load values dur.
