Theory and Method
This Ultrasonicator applies ultrasound without inserting a probe into the sample. Ultrasonic energy couples through the tube wall and drives mechanical effects that support disruption and mixing inside the sealed container. Cycle settings typically include an ultrasonic “on” time and an “interval” time that repeats until the total run time is met. That structure helps manage heat rise and improves repeatability across batches.
A typical method starts by loading the sample into a compatible 2 mL tube and placing it into the sample position(s). Set power percentage, ultrasonic time, interval time, and total run time, then start the program from the touchscreen. After processing, remove the tube and proceed to extraction, amplification, purification, or other downstream steps as required by the protocol.
