Theory and Method

This Ultrasonicator uses indirect ultrasonic energy delivered through a coupling medium inside a cup chamber. Cavitation and micro-streaming created in the surrounding medium transfer energy into sealed tubes, supporting cell disruption and biomolecule fragmentation without direct probe contact. That design helps reduce cross-contamination between samples and supports sterile handling.

A typical method starts with selecting a holder that matches tube size and volume. Place sealed tubes into the holder, set power percentage, duty cycle, and total time, then monitor temperature display during the run. Use a matching chiller or cooling circulation setup when temperature stability matters for proteins or nucleic acids. Remove tubes after the cycle and proceed to downstream extraction or analysis.
