Dynasonic Leeb / Ultrasonic Hardness Tester UCI-4000:
The Dynasonic Ultrasonic Hardness Tester UCI-4000 is a versatile portable hardness tester with a dual testing method. It uses a twin-method approach involving state-of-the-art ultrasonic contact independence (UCI) and dynamic rebound (Leeb) to facilitate hardness testing in a single instrument.
This innovation addresses the challenge faced by the Leeb method in testing the hardness of plating and coating (in UCI), and the UCI method's limitation in assessing coarse crystal materials in the casting industry (in Leeb).
The UCI-4000 not only collaborates seamlessly with UCI motorized and manual probes but also integrates effortlessly with the Leeb impact probe. This universality enables the tester to assess the hardness of materials with both fine and coarse crystal structures within the metal industry.

The UCI-4000 UCI probe system excels in measuring the hardness of coatings and platings, effectively gauging the hardness of chrome, copper plating, carburized layers, and Nitriding layers.
On the other hand, the UCI-4000 dynamic Leeb probe system is tailored for measuring the hardness of coarse materials, such as those found in casting and forging processes.
Functioning as a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) hardness tester, the UCI-4000 is an excellent solution for assessing the hardness of finished products, including molds, gears, shafts, rods, screws, and rails. The contact indention is too small to observe, making it an ideal choice for evaluating the hardness of finished products.
The UCI-4000 complies with industry standards, including ASTM A1038-2005, and DIN standard DIN50159-1-2008.
