Electric Propulsion Ground Ignition System – QualiEP™ 3000 G
For consistent Hall thruster ignition under regulated vacuum and thermal conditions, an electric propulsion performance test system frequently requires a specialized setup. The QualiEP™ 3000 G Electric Propulsion Ground Ignition System supports integrated or selective subsystem testing with vacuum and thermal cycling assessments and is intended for Hall thruster ignition tests.
Practical mounting, diagnostic access, and repeatable configuration changes are made possible by the large vacuum chamber and platform space. For test items and related hardware, a cold plate allows for controlled temperature conditioning. Before longer endurance or performance campaigns, this system assists teams in verifying ignition behavior and system preparedness.
With a large vacuum chamber, integrated platform, and cold plate conditioning at its core, QualiEP™ 3000 G is a ground-based ignition and verification platform for electric propulsion hardware. The system allows for thermal conditioning and cycling when needed by the program, and it is built to support Hall thruster ignition testing under controlled low-pressure conditions.
Depending on the test objective, it supports either integrated system testing or selective testing of important subsystems. Repeatable test sequences and stable ignition experiments are supported by defined operating pressure under xenon or krypton flow. Electric propulsion labs that require a dedicated ignition environment with useful fixturing space and predictable vacuum behavior can use QualiEP™ 3000 G.
