Essential EDI Pure Water System - QualiPWS™ E-EDI
QualiPWS™ E-EDI is a continuous deionization water system that combines reverse osmosis with an electrically regenerated ion-exchange stack. Qualitest North America offers the Essential EDI Pure Water System to laboratories that would rather buy electricity than cartridges for the polishing stage. Output covers 10 and 20 liters per hour, reaching 480 liters over a full day. The unit runs at 120 W from any 100 to 240 V outlet.
Product water leaves the EDI stack above 10 MΩ·cm at 25 °C with total organic carbon under 30 ppb, which is ten times the resistivity that ASTM D1193 Type II asks for. A second outlet dispenses RO water for autoclave fill, glassware washing, and chamber humidifiers. Both grades run at up to 2 liters per minute in general or quantitative mode. Storage comes in two parts: a sealed 1.8-liter pressure tank inside the cabinet and a 60-liter tank alongside.
Two permission levels, a 5-inch resistive touchscreen, and a cloud connection over Ethernet or WiFi cover day-to-day operation. Consumable life for the pretreatment, RO, and ion-exchange stages is tracked against water quality, run time, and volume passed. Three years of dispensing, alarm, and replacement history sit on the host and export to Excel. Every dispensing record carries the water quality, volume, and user behind it.
