Residual Ethylene Oxide Gas Chromatograph - QualiGC™-10997 Series
Gas Chromatograph for Residual Ethylene Oxide in Face Masks and Medical Products
The QualiGC™-10997 Series residual ethylene oxide gas chromatograph measures EO left behind after sterilization of face masks, gowns, and other medical products. Manufacturers and contract sterilizers use it to confirm that aeration has brought EO below the release limit before product ships. The system combines a 20-position headspace sampler, a flame ionization detector, and a dedicated EO analysis column, so samples move from vial to result with little handling. A reference EO standard comes in the package for calibration.
Ethylene oxide sterilizes heat-sensitive materials well, yet the gas absorbs into nonwovens, elastomers, and plastics and leaves slowly. Release decisions therefore depend on a measured number rather than an aeration schedule alone. The QualiGC™-10997 Series delivers that number with a detection limit of 3 × 10⁻¹² g/s and a very low FID baseline noise. Labs can batch twenty samples, start the run, and return to a finished sequence.
Beyond EO, the instrument determines the content or purity of single organic solvents. Chemical, pharmaceutical, pesticide, and environmental labs use it for solvent assays and volatile impurity checks. Six independently controlled heated zones, a 16-step oven program, and an oven ceiling of 450°C give method developers room to adapt. The included workstation software displays chromatograms live and exports reports in PDF and other formats.
