Handheld Circular Geotextile Sample Cutter - QualiGTX™ CSC H
QualiGTX™ CSC H handheld geotextile sample cutter weighs 1.5 kg, light enough to carry to the material instead of hauling roll goods back to a laboratory bench. Field inspectors, installation QA teams, and warehouse receiving staff use it to take round conformance specimens at the point of delivery, on the installation site, or beside the production line. The tool cuts a fixed circular area through material as thick as 15 mm, covering the geotextile, geomembrane, and geocomposite products that turn up on civil works projects.
Portability changes where sampling can happen. A roll arriving on site can be checked before it is unwrapped and installed, and a suspect batch can be sampled and documented while the delivery truck is still there. Because the cutting area is machined into the die rather than marked out with a ruler, an inspector working on a tailgate produces the same specimen a technician would produce in a controlled laboratory. That consistency is what makes field sampling defensible when results are challenged later.
The CSC H measures φ160 × 115 mm and fits into a standard sampling kit alongside a tape measure and a balance. Operation is manual and needs no electrical or compressed-air supply. For laboratories that prefer a heavier bench tool with more self-weight behind the stroke, the same QualiGTX™ series includes a lever-operated bench version at the same 100 cm² area and 15 mm depth.
