HDT Heat Deflection Tester QualiHDT™ 300
HDT Heat Deflection Tester QualiHDT™ 300 is designed for materials that remain hard at 27°C. The specimen, placed on a simple beam for testing, is subjected to a flexural stress of 0.445 MPa or 1.82 MPa at the center. The ambient temperature of the test is increased by 2 degrees Celsius per minute. When the center of the specimen undergoes a deflection of 0.254 mm (ASTM), 0.32 mm (ISO edgewise), or 0.34 mm (ISO flatwise), the temperature is recorded as the specimen’s deflection temperature.
The tester can measure both HDT heat and Vicat heat by swapping the specimen holder.
