The platform supports high-efficiency homogenization with adjustable pressure and variable-frequency flow control, helping teams tune energy input to viscosity, solids loading, and target results. It also targets hygienic processing needs with 316L stainless steel in wetted construction and a “zero residue” drain concept for cleaner changeovers.

Theory and Method

High pressure homogenization forces product through a controlled homogenizing zone under high pressure. As the fluid accelerates and depressurizes through the valve area, it experiences intense shear, turbulence, and impact forces that break droplets and weaken particle agglomerates. This supports finer, more uniform dispersions and emulsions.

A practical method usually follows this flow:

  1. Feed the product using the self-priming check-valve structure.
  2. Set pressure and flow using pressure regulation plus variable-frequency flow control.
  3. Run one or more passes until particle size and stability targets are reached.
  4. Manage process heat using plunger cooling for longer operating windows.
  5. Drain and change over using the “zero residue” drain approach to reduce hold-up.
