IP Test Probe Set (IP1X-IP4X) - Quali-IPX™ TPS
IEC 60529 Access Probes A, B, C and D for Protection Against Access to Hazardous Parts
The Quali-IPX™ TPS IP test probe set puts the four IEC 61032 access probes in one kit, dimensioned for verification work under IEC 60529. Probe A is a 50 mm sphere, probe B a knurled jointed finger of 12 mm, and probes C and D are straight rods of 2.5 mm and 1.0 mm. Each one carries a stop face that limits how far it enters an opening. Qualitest supplies the set to laboratories, safety engineers, and compliance teams.
Construction matters more on a probe than the dimension list suggests. A probe that flexes, wears at the tip, or loses its stop face geometry produces results that will not repeat between operators or laboratories. The Quali-IPX™ TPS pairs acetal resin bodies with stainless or hardened steel elements, so the working surfaces hold size through repeated insertion cycles. Handle dimensions stay consistent at 10 mm diameter and 100 mm length across probes A, C, and D.
Access verification runs alongside water ingress testing rather than replacing it. The first characteristic numeral describes what can reach hazardous parts, while the second describes what water can enter. Teams building an IP code capability often start here, since probes call for no water supply, no drainage, and no dedicated floor space. The set works at a bench or beside a production line.
