IPX1-IPX4 Waterproof Test Chamber - Quali-IPX™ WTC
IEC 60529 Drip Box and Oscillating Tube Chamber for Watches, Phones, Batteries and Electronic Components
The Quali-IPX™ WTC IPX1-IPX4 waterproof test chamber combines drip box and oscillating tube testing in one enclosure sized for small electronics. A perforated drip plate handles the IPX1 and IPX2 vertical drop tests, while a semicircular oscillating tube with 0.4 mm bore nozzles covers the IPX3 and IPX4 spray and splash conditions. Watches, smartphones, tablets, battery packs, motor parts, and electronic components all suit the working volume. One touchscreen drives both test modes.
Laboratories running small-product IP work rarely have floor space for two separate installations. The Quali-IPX™ WTC addresses that constraint by putting both IEC 60529 water test geometries inside a single stainless steel chamber. Qualitest offers the oscillating tube in four radii between R200 mm and R800 mm, so the arc matches the specimen rather than overwhelming it. Smaller radii also cut water consumption, since flow scales with the number of active nozzles on the arc.
A recirculating water circuit returns test water to the supply tank instead of sending it to drain. That design keeps consumption low across repeated cycles and contains splash inside the chamber, so the unit works in a general laboratory rather than a purpose-built wet room. Nozzles come out by hand for cleaning, and the turntable height adjusts to place the specimen correctly under each test geometry. Stainless steel construction resists the corrosion that constant wetting causes.
