Irradiance Radiometer & Calibrator Overview:

For all artificial light accelerated weathering test chambers, irradiance (irradiation energy) is a key factor that influences the outcome of tests. However, as the weathering test chamber ages, some of its components—including filters, irradiation probes, and sensors—tend to deteriorate.
This deterioration leads to inaccuracies in the irradiance readings displayed on the device. Therefore, regular calibration of the irradiance levels in these instruments is an essential step in the artificial accelerated weathering test process.
The multifunctional irradiance radiometer from Qualitest is an innovative, handheld device designed for this purpose. It consists of a handheld irradiance radiometer (the main unit) and one or more specialized probes. To use it, simply select the appropriate probe for the calibration task at hand, insert it into the radiometer, and choose the type of lamp or filter on the radiometer's display.
Then, position the probe in the chamber to be calibrated, activate the weathering test chamber, and adjust the irradiance based on the readings shown on the radiometer. Additionally, when a probe is connected to the radiometer, its display automatically shows the probe's serial number and the date of its last calibration, reminding users to calibrate the probe as needed.
