Joystick Articulating Video Borescope - QualiScope™ J
Joystick Articulating Video Borescope, model QualiScope™ J, gives inspectors one-handed 360° control of the probe tip to reach angled welds, turbine blades, and cavities that fixed-tip scopes miss. A thumb-operated joystick steers the articulating tip in any direction, so one hand sweeps around obstructions without moving the insertion point. Two probe options, 6.2 mm and 3.9 mm, cover large engine cavities and narrow tubing. The unit pairs an American OmniVision CMOS sensor and sapphire-glass lens for clear 1280×720 imaging in oily, wet conditions.
QualiScope™ J ships in two build formats to match different workflows. The Mobile Version streams live video to Android and iOS devices, while the Screen Version has an integrated display for standalone field use. Both formats capture photos and video, generate inspection reports on the device, and run on a detachable 3.7 V, 5,200 mAh lithium battery for extended shifts. A high-temperature alarm warns the operator and triggers automatic power-off before heat can damage the electronics.
The replaceable snake tube and detachable battery keep the QualiScope™ J serviceable in the field, so a damaged probe or a depleted cell does not sideline the whole unit. Quality-control teams across aerospace, precision casting, and automotive manufacturing use it for routine remote visual inspection without disassembling the equipment under test.
