Lever-Operated Circular Geotextile Sample Cutter - QualiGTX™ CSC

QualiGTX™ CSC circular geotextile sample cutter produces exact 100 cm² round specimens from geotextiles, geomembranes, and technical fabrics in a single downward stroke. Civil engineering laboratories, geosynthetic manufacturers, and third-party inspection agencies use it as the first step in mass per unit area and thickness testing, where specimen area has to be known precisely before the material is weighed. The cutter removes the measure, mark, and scissor-cut sequence that introduces operator variation into every result downstream.

What separates the CSC from general-purpose textile cutters is its 15 mm cutting depth. Most circular fabric cutters top out near 5 mm, which limits them to thin wovens and films. The QualiGTX™ CSC handles lofty needle-punched nonwovens, thick HDPE and LLDPE liner sheet, and bonded geocomposites that would otherwise have to be cut by hand. A 15 kg steel body keeps the die square to the material through the full stroke, so the cut edge stays clean and perpendicular rather than tapered.

Operation is fully manual and requires no electrical or pneumatic supply. Technicians place the material on a cutting surface, position the cutter, and apply downward force through the lever handle. The compact φ160 × 115 mm body sits on any bench, travels easily to a job site, and stores in a standard drawer between uses.
