A portable, hand-operated Manual Dynamic Penetrometer – QualiDCP-B designed for quick, on-site assessment of the strength characteristics of road pavement layers.
The Dynamic Cone Penetrometer (DCP) provides direct measurements that have been correlated with California Bearing Ratio (CBR) values (Kleyn, 1975).
Field calibration of the portable DCP helps establish a relationship between penetration resistance and standard penetration test results.
This tool is especially useful for evaluating footing foundations and conducting light field investigations where standard resistance ranges are already established.
