We offer a complete range of manual and pneumatic dart impact testers, dart heads, weights, and stems, all meeting ASTM D 1709 standards. The Model DX-8165AB supports both Method A and Method B tests.

This manual clamping style tester combines Method A and Method B functionalities, featuring two manual toggle clamps to secure the upper clamp ring and a manual thumb screw release for the dart holder. It measures the impact resistance of plastic films, sheets, and laminated materials using the free-falling dart method. Method A uses a drop height of 26 inches (66.0 cm) with a 412-gram dart weight set, while Method B uses a drop height of 60 inches (154.2 cm) with a 1310-gram dart set.

The system comes complete with dart sets for both methods, including a phenolic dart head for Method A, a stainless steel dart head for Method B, dart stems, set collars, and a full set of dart weights.
