Oil Particle Counter systems are used to measure the size and quantity of solid particles in oils and related liquids so laboratories can evaluate contamination levels quickly and consistently. QualiOPC™ 1000 uses the light-blocking method for contamination analysis in hydraulic oil, lubricating oil, shale oil, transformer oil, turbine oil, gear oil, engine oil, aviation kerosene, water-based hydraulic fluids, organic liquids, and polymer solutions.

This desktop oil particle counter combines a semiconductor laser, a wide particle-size detection range, multiple reporting standards, Windows-based instrument control, and built-in data storage options. This instrument is suitable for military, aerospace, power, and transportation applications where fluid cleanliness directly affects equipment life and reliability.

QualiOPC™ 1000 is a desktop Oil Particle Counter developed for precise cleanliness analysis of oils and other compatible liquids. It measures insoluble solid particles in fluid samples and helps users assess contamination severity, support preventive maintenance, and improve fluid condition monitoring programs.

The system uses a semiconductor laser and a large-size particle counting sensor with a controlled sampling system to deliver repeatable results across a broad particle range. An industrial computer running Windows for instrument control and calculation, along with data output through an internal database, built-in printer support, and USB storage.

Theory and Method

QualiOPC™ 1000 works on the light-blocking method, also called the shading method. In this approach, particles suspended in the liquid pass through the sensing zone and interrupt the laser beam. The instrument then determines particle size and quantity from the signal changes produced during sample flow.

This method is widely used for liquid particle counting because it supports direct measurement of contamination levels in oils and similar fluids. The system combines this detection principle with controlled sampling speed, defined sample volume, and calibration support for recognized cleanliness standards so users can report results in the format required by their workflow.
