Portable Thermal Camera (Professional) - QualiTC™ 38 is an industrial thermal imaging camera built for power utility crews, petrochemical technicians, and firefighting teams who need accurate high-temperature readings. The device pairs a 384×288 thermal detector with an 8-megapixel visible light camera on a 4.3-inch sunlight-readable touchscreen, protected by 0.5mm explosion-proof glass. A measurement range of -20°C to 1200°C (-4°F to 2192°F) covers everything from routine electrical checks to high-temperature process monitoring. TisoView image processing sharpens detail through super-resolution and detail enhancement algorithms.

The QualiTC™ 38 adds a laser rangefinder accurate to 40 meters, GPS positioning, 4G connectivity, and an electronic compass, letting field crews log exactly where and how far from a target each reading was taken. Voice annotation attaches spoken notes to a captured photo or video. The dedicated analysis software reads full-frame thermal data and full-temperature radiometric video after the inspection. WiFi and Bluetooth connect the camera to a companion app for real-time image transmission to a phone or tablet.

The QualiTC™ 38 runs on a removable 5000 mAh lithium battery rated for about five hours of continuous use, with a spare pack ready for a full shift of work. Theory and Method

Every surface above absolute zero emits infrared radiation in proportion to its temperature, and the QualiTC™ 38 captures this energy in the 8 to 14 micrometer long-wave infrared band using a 384×288 detector array. Each detector element changes electrical resistance as it absorbs infrared radiation, and the onboard processor converts that resistance change into a temperature value for every pixel. The TisoView engine then applies super-resolution and digital detail enhancement to sharpen the resulting image before the operator ever adjusts a setting.

Reaching a 1200°C upper limit requires more than a wider detector range. The camera applies measurement correction for target distance, atmospheric conditions, ambient temperature and humidity, and visibility, all of which affect how much infrared energy actually reaches the sensor from a hot, distant target. The built-in laser rangefinder measures the true distance to the target, feeding that value into the correction calculation instead of relying on an operator's estimate.

Point, line, and frame temperature measurement modes let the operator sample a single spot, a profile along a weld or seam, or an entire region for its highest, lowest, and center-point readings. Because the camera can record full-frame radiometric video, every pixel in every frame carries its own temperature value, so a reviewer can extract a reading from any point in a recorded sequence rather than only from a still photo.
