Precision Heating Temperature Control System (50°C to 200°C)

Process Thermostat performance is often the difference between repeatable results and costly temperature drift. Precision Heating Temperature Control System – QualiHeat™ PH Series is a recirculating heater and temperature controller designed to deliver stable thermal-fluid temperature from 50°C to 200°C for reactor jackets, heat exchangers, and pilot-scale process skids.

The platform supports high-flow circulation to improve heat transfer and shorten ramp and recovery time. A closed-loop control architecture helps maintain steady setpoints under changing process loads. Custom configurations are available for specific flow, interface, and integration needs.

QualiHeat™ PH Series is a high-temperature Process Thermostat built for continuous heating and controlled circulation in process and R&D environments. The system regulates a heat-transfer medium and pumps it through an external loop to control jacketed vessels, reactors, or tooling.

A touchscreen HMI supports setpoint control, temperature trending, and recording for day-to-day production work. Control targets can be configured for either the heat-transfer medium temperature or outlet temperature, depending on how your process is instrumented. Communication via MODBUS RTU over RS-485 supports basic automation and data logging.

  • Reactor jacket temperature control: Maintain stable jacket temperature for synthesis, polymerization, crystallization, and other heat-managed reactions. The circulating loop improves heat transfer compared with static heating, helping the process respond faster to load changes. Temperature-differential control can be used to manage the offset between jacket temperature and product temperature when an external sensor is installed.
  • Temperature conditioning for process equipment: Provide controlled thermal-fluid circulation for heat exchangers, coils, and external process modules that require steady heating. High available flow options help support long piping runs, manifolds, or multi-point distribution when configured appropriately.
  • Pilot-scale and production support: Use the Process Thermostat as a dedicated heating utility where repeatable temperature profiles are needed for scale-up and batch consistency. Program steps can be used to run common recipes with staged ramps and holds.
  • Automation, monitoring, and traceability: RS-485 connectivity with MODBUS RTU enables supervisory control, alarms, and historian logging through PLC/SCADA systems. Temperature curve display and recording help document runs for internal quality procedures.

Theory and Method

Precision Heating Temperature Control System – QualiHeat™ PH Series

A Process Thermostat controls temperature by circulating a heat-transfer fluid through an external loop and adjusting heater output in real time. The QualiHeat™ PH Series uses closed-loop control with temperature feedback (RTD/PT100 sensing) to regulate either the thermal medium temperature or the outlet temperature.

When an external process sensor is used, the controller can manage the temperature difference between jacket and reaction material to reduce overshoot and stabilize product temperature. Program steps enable multi-stage profiles for ramps, soaks, and controlled transitions.
