AC/DC Magnetic Particle Yoke – MPI Yokes QualiMPI-X3
AC/DC Magnetic Particle Yoke – MPI Yokes QualiMPI-X3 features a compact design, well-organized layout, and lightweight build, making it easy to carry and operate. It is ideal for detecting surface and near-surface defects in ferromagnetic materials across various industries, including electric power, metallurgy, petrochemicals, and machinery, as well as for use on boilers, pressure vessels, pipelines, and welded structures.
This device supports both AC power and AC/DC magnetized power sources, offering high efficiency without adding bulk. It is particularly well-suited for weld inspections on ship hulls, elevated steel structures, and internal surfaces of pressure vessels.
AC/DC Magnetic Particle Yoke – MPI Yokes QualiMPI-X3 features a compact, well-organized design that is lightweight and easy to transport. It is designed for the detection of surface and near-surface defects in ferromagnetic materials and is ideal for inspecting steel structures, boilers, pressure vessels, pipelines, and various welded assemblies across industries such as power generation, metallurgy, petrochemicals, and machinery.
This unit connects directly to AC power and can also be paired with optional AC or DC magnetization power sources for added flexibility and efficiency. Its design makes it especially effective for weld inspections on ship hulls, elevated steel structures, and internal sections of pressure vessels.
Instructions for Use
- Connect one end of the probe wire to the electromagnetic yoke and the other end to the AC power socket (or DC power supply/AC magnetization unit). Ensure all connections are secure.
- Position the yoke's magnetic poles firmly on the surface of the part being inspected. Apply a suitable magnetic suspension—such as alcohol-based, oil-based, water-based, or fluorescent suspension (UV light required for fluorescent inspection). Press the switch on the yoke to begin magnetization. Release the switch to stop.
- After inspection, disconnect the probe wire from the yoke.
- For continuous operation, maintain a magnetization time of less than 3 seconds, followed by a pause of at least 5 seconds between cycles.
- Ensure firm contact between the yoke's poles and the workpiece before activating the magnetization switch for optimal performance.
- Always release the switch before lifting the yoke from the workpiece. Avoid activating the yoke when it is not in contact with a surface to prevent unnecessary heat buildup and potential damage to the unit.
