Coefficient of Friction Tester - FX-7100
Qualitest's Model FX-7100 F/W is a digital COF Tester designed to determine the static and kinetic coefficients of friction for a wide range of substrates, including cartons, plastic film, coatings, textiles, and paper. The device features a built-in statistics display that shows peak and real-time force, as well as static and kinetic COF, on a 3-line digital display. It also supports PC/software-based data collection for graphical and statistical COF data.
Qualitest's most popular model in its range of COF, Peel & Seal Test Instruments, the Model FX-7100 F/W COF Tester, is engineered for ease of use in determining the Static and Kinetic COF of your film and sheet materials. It relies on force gauge firmware or software to calculate static and kinetic COF values. By adding our FX-7200 Software, you can access advanced features such as graphics, statistics, and comprehensive friction reports. The FX-7100 F/W force gauge digital display simultaneously shows real-time static and kinetic COF values.
Optional Sliding Blocks are available for the FX-7100 F/W horizontal bed system, allowing for testing of various materials including shipping sacks, fiberboard, electrical insulation paper, printed paper, and corrugated materials.
The force gauge display (shown on the right) illustrates an end-of-test result of 0.243 for Static Coefficient of Friction and 0.220 for Kinetic Coefficient of Friction using a standard 200-gram sled.
