 | Laboratory Compression Molding PressLaboratory Compression Molding Press is an essential instrument for preparing samples with consistent properties. Even temperature distribution across the platen and robust mechanical construction ensure uniform sample thickness and reliable closure force, key factors for reproducible results. |
Tiltable Press Control Display
All machine functions are managed through the integrated touchscreen display at the front of the press. The 10" color display is designed for ergonomic use: it can be tilted during programming and positioned vertically to maintain clear access to the molding area.

Total Control of the Moulding Cycle
Press Control Functions
The press is equipped with a PLC controller and a user-friendly touchscreen display, allowing full customization of molding cycles. Users can set:
- The movement of the press’s moving platen
- The thermal cycle, including different platen temperatures and thermal gradients within a molding cycle
- The pressure cycle (with force control option, if installed)
Up to 40 molding cycles can be stored, with each cycle comprising 30 molding steps.
Press Control Software: Complete Traceability of Sample Preparation
The press PLC can connect via USB to the Press Control software, which enables:
- Creating a list of products to be molded
- Automatically sending preset temperatures for each product to the press PLC and activating automatic adjustment
- Automatically sending the required test cycle to the press PLC
- Displaying trend curves of platen temperatures and closing force (if the option is installed) during the molding cycle
- Storing curves and numerical data in the SQL database to ensure full traceability of the sample preparation process
The Press Control software is compatible with Windows 10 and 11.
Closure Force Control
The digital pressure regulation system is designed for applications requiring precise control of closure force. A specialized two-stage hydraulic circuit, featuring proportional regulation valves and a continuous fine-tuning pumping system, ensures accurate pressure management.
This system provides smooth, consistent force control, allowing the closure force to be set between 10 kN and 250 kN in 10 N increments, with regulation fluctuations below 1000 N.
Closure force control is managed through the Automatic Press Control, which must be installed with the Closure Force Control option. This device enables multiple pressure regulation steps within a molding cycle.

Temperature Under Control
 | Temperature Under Control – Platen HeatingThe press platens are heated using flat heating elements specifically designed to meet ISO 2393 standards, which allow a maximum temperature variation of ±0.5 °C across the platen surface. Temperature calibration is performed through a strict control procedure, measuring 10 points across the molding area to ensure precision. Each heating element delivers 3.5 kW of power, enabling platen heating gradients of up to 15 °C/min. Note: Maximum heating speed depends on the thermal mass of the mold and the material being molded. |
Cooling System with Water Circuit
Cooling the press platens during the molding cycle is essential for processing thermoplastic materials, as the material must reach its solidification temperature before the mold can be opened.
Presses can be equipped with an efficient cooling system that allows controlled platen temperature reduction, with rates up to –50 °C/min.
The system features a cooling circuit that can be connected either to a demineralized water supply or a chiller. Cooling speed is defined in the test cycle and regulated by a PID controller independently for each platen surface.
 | Cooling System with Compressed Air CircuitPresses can be equipped with a compressed air cooling system, enabling controlled platen temperature reduction at rates up to –3 °C/min. This system helps accelerate temperature regulation when molding operations require different temperatures. Cooling speed is set within the test cycle and is independently managed for each platen surface by a PID controller. |

Designed for the user
 | Light PanelThe press features a color-changing indicator light that clearly shows the machine’s operating status from a distance. The light signals when the press is ready, a molding cycle is in progress, or the temperature is being adjusted. |
MoldsMolds for producing plates and various types of samples according to international standards are available. Sliding fixing rails make handling the molds easy. Custom molds, including customer-designed shapes and company logo engraving, are available upon request. | |
 | Mold Extraction- All mold models can be mounted on the press using clamping guides.
- A sliding guide on the lower platen allows easy movement of the mold, simplifying both the placement of the material to be molded and the removal of the finished part.
