Martindale Abrasion Tester QualiMAT™ I is built to evaluate the abrasion resistance of textile fabrics, shoe uppers, linings, and soles.
It can test up to four samples at once, using a Lissajous motion to rub specimens against abrasive materials for a set number of cycles.
Principle
The Martindale tester is designed to evaluate the durability and abrasion resistance of textile fabrics, shoe uppers, linings, and soles. During testing, samples undergo repeated abrasion in a Lissajous motion until the desired number of cycles is reached.
