Tape Initial Adhesion Tester- QualiTIAT™ P: PSTC 6
QualiTIAT™ P model is designed for those needing to follow ASTM D3121 and PSTC 6 methods. This tape initial adhesion tester offers precise control and measurement, ensuring compliance with these widely recognized standards.
To begin the test, clean the runway and the surface of the steel ball using a solvent. Attach a strip of tape, 1 inch wide and 15 inches long, to the front of the runway. Ensure the clip used is clean and dry. Position the steel ball above the release bar, then release it so it rolls directly along the runway and comes to a stop on the tape. Measure the distance the ball travels. Repeat this process five times and calculate the average value of the distances recorded.
