Thermal vacuum (TVAC) test chambers, like QualiTVAC™ 1500, provide repeatable temperature cycling for larger units and assemblies while simulating space-like conditions. In order to maintain stable thermal interfaces throughout test profiles, the system incorporates a vacuum chamber, heat sink, and cold plate.

Performance drift, thermal interface issues, and failure modes that manifest under vacuum and temperature extremes can all be found with this configuration. At the test article interface, the heat sink and cold plate provide controlled thermal exposure while the chamber reaches low pressure.
