QualiFlame™ VFT is a precision vertical flame tester designed for evaluating the flammability and fire resistance performance of curtains, sunshades, and other vertically hung interior materials used in Class M passenger vehicles carrying more than 22 occupants. This vertical flame tester operates by vertically securing a prepared specimen in a stainless steel specimen holder, exposing it to a calibrated flame from a brass burner for a precise 5-second interval, and automatically recording the time at which the flame extinguishes, the burned distance, and the resulting vertical burn rate. The entire test sequence — ignition, timing, flame extinction, and data calculation — is fully automated via PLC and touchscreen control, eliminating manual timing errors and ensuring result-to-result consistency.
