Air Permeability Tester Range

Three models cover the range, separated by pressure capability, specimen thickness, and how you want to get data out of the instrument.

QualiPermatest™ Series

The widest-range model, spanning 0.1 to 12,000 mm/s at specimen pressure differentials to 1,000 Pa. Six test areas and ten nozzles from 0.8 mm to 16 mm cover dense coated cloth through to open filter mesh. Specimens up to 12 mm thick fit the clamp, which suits foams and thick filter mats. QualiPermatest™ I runs from a PLC touch screen; QualiPermatest™ II adds PC control.

Air Permeability Tester – AirFicient

The connected option. Wi-Fi links the instrument to the SmarTexLab smartphone app, so operators set parameters, watch test status, and share results without standing at the machine. Air velocity runs 0.6 to 10,000 mm/s on the standard 20 cm² head, with test pressures of 10 to 2,500 Pa and sixteen selectable measurement units. Maintenance-free range conversion components hold repeatability across long production runs.

Textile and Fabrics Air Permeability Tester – Permatest

A touch-panel instrument aimed at textile and mask labs. Test pressures reach 4,000 Pa across a range of 0.1 to 9,999 mm/s. Standard equipment covers 20 cm² and 38 cm² heads plus eleven nozzles. An automatic holder starts the test on contact and stops the pump on release, keeping operator technique out of the result.

How to Choose the Right Air Permeability Tester

• For thick foams, filter mats, or wide-range work: choose the QualiPermatest™ Series for its 12 mm specimen capacity and 0.1 to 12,000 mm/s span.
• For labs reporting to several regional methods: choose the QualiPermatest™ Series or the AirFicient, which offer seven and sixteen measurement units respectively.
• For multi-site or remote-monitored QC: choose the AirFicient and its Wi-Fi app connection for parameter setup and result sharing.
• For high-pressure testing of dense coated fabrics: choose the Permatest, which runs to 4,000 Pa.
• For routine apparel and mask media testing: choose the Permatest for its automatic holder and included analysis software.
• For LIMS integration and PC-driven workflows: choose QualiPermatest™ II, which pairs an RS232C port with dedicated operating software.
• For specimens under 10 mm on a standard 20 cm² head: any of the three will serve, so decide on connectivity and pressure range instead.
