The Automatic Cross Hatch Tester (also known as Cross-cut Adhesion Tester0 is an automated cross-cutting instrument offered by Qualitest in accordance with the latest ISO 2409 and ASTM D3359 standards. Setting it apart from similar products on the market, it features the following advantages:

  • Features a 7-inch industrial-grade full-touch screen for easy editing of cutting parameters and clear, intuitive parameter display.
  • Allows for the adjustment of cutting speed, cutting load, cutting intervals, and the number of cuts (both landscape and portrait).
  • Automatically compensates for load force during cutting to maintain a constant load and consistent coating depth.
  • Simplifies the process with automatic clamping of test samples.
  • After completing a cutting direction, the working platform automatically and precisely rotates 90° to ensure complete vertical crossing of cutting lines, avoiding inaccuracies from manual rotation.
  • Offers optional test tips (Φ 0.5mm, Φ 0.75mm, Φ 1mm) or other specialized tips for testing scratch resistance, scratch hardness, and writing effects in accordance with standards like Opel (GME 60280 / GMW14688), among others.
