Automatic Geosynthetic Impermeability Tester - QualiGTX™ GIT A

QualiGTX™ GIT A automatic geosynthetic impermeability tester consolidates four separate barrier performance tests into a single microcomputer-controlled frame. Laboratories that qualify geomembranes, geotextiles, and composite liners can measure hydrostatic pressure resistance, permeability coefficient, and burst strength without moving specimens between instruments. The system covers pressures from 0 to 2.5 MPa at a 0.5 accuracy class, with automatic pump water supply and a controlled 100 mL/min inflow rate.

Two test cell sizes give the GIT A its range. A ø30.5 mm collector handles small-diameter, high-pressure work on geomembranes, while a ø200 mm collector accepts large specimens with an effective cross-sectional area of 200 cm² or more for geotextile permeability runs. Operators select the cell that matches the material and the procedure, then set pressure, hold time, and target parameters on the industrial touchscreen.

Highway and railway agencies, landfill designers, mining contractors, and geosynthetics manufacturers use the GIT A to build a complete barrier profile for a material. Test results generate directly into report format, and the data uploads for further analysis or archiving. Integrated temperature monitoring from 5°C to 60°C at ±1°C supports permeability work where fluid properties shift with temperature.
