Geomembrane Impermeability Tester
Hydrostatic resistance, permeability, and burst strength testing to 2.5 MPa.
A geomembrane impermeability tester measures how well a barrier resists water passing through it, either as a pressure threshold or a flow rate. Labs qualify geomembranes, geotextiles, and composite liners before they reach landfills, canals, tailings ponds, and tunnels. Methods follow ASTM D5385 and ISO 811 practice. Pressure ratings on this range reach 2.5 MPa.
Qualitest offers this family in two forms. The GIT GM handles static water pressure on a dedicated frame, with an option that adds hydrostatic burst strength. The GIT A consolidates four test methods, adds permeability coefficient measurement, and generates reports directly on the instrument. Both share a 0.5 pressure accuracy class and automatic pump water supply.
