Geomembrane Hydrostatic Pressure Tester - QualiGTX™ GIT GM Series

QualiGTX™ GIT GM geomembrane hydrostatic pressure tester measures how well geomembranes, composite geomembranes, and waterproofing membranes resist water penetration under sustained pressure. Materials laboratories, geosynthetics manufacturers, and civil engineering contractors rely on it to confirm barrier performance before a liner reaches a landfill cell, canal, tailings pond, or reservoir. The instrument applies pressurized water to one face of a clamped circular specimen and holds it at a target level while the operator observes the opposite face for seepage.

Qualitest supplies the GIT GM in two configurations built on the same floor-standing platform. The hydrostatic resistance model runs static water pressure tests up to 2.5 MPa at a 0.5 pressure accuracy class. The dual-function model adds an adjustable pressurization rate, which lets the same frame run hydrostatic burst strength tests as well as static pressure resistance tests. Both share the ø30.5 mm water collector, the ø55 mm specimen size, and the automatic pump water supply.

A 10-inch touchscreen handles setup, live pressure readout, and automatic timing, so the operator only manages specimen loading and visual inspection. The stainless steel clamp assembly seals thin films and thick reinforced composites without slippage at full pressure. Laboratories running high daily specimen counts benefit from the pump-fed supply, which refills and pressurizes without manual charging between tests.
