Bridge-type Brinell Hardness Tester – QualiHB-3000MS
Bridge-type Brinell Hardness Tester – QualiHB-3000MS features advanced, fully automatic closed-loop sensor control technology. A stepless servo motor directly drives the ball screw to apply force, while the force sensor ensures precise feedback and micro-level adjustments. This eliminates the limitations of traditional weight-lever loading systems, which tend to become inaccurate over time due to hydraulic or motor deceleration errors, or friction at the spindle.
The tester delivers a force range from 62.5 to 3000 kgf and supports fully automatic Brinell hardness indentation measurement.

The portal frame structure is designed for testing the hardness of large, customizable workpieces. Using a dedicated numerical control system, a closed-loop electronic control system applies the test force. The transmission system is entirely driven by a stepper motor and a ball screw.
With a low failure rate, the machine requires minimal maintenance, saving time and labor. It operates without the need for hydraulic oil and remains stable and reliable, even in environments with significant temperature fluctuations.
Application
Suitable for hardness testing of cast iron, steel, non-ferrous metals, and soft alloys. It can also be used to test certain non-metallic materials, such as hard plastics and bakelite.
Loading Mechanism
The system uses advanced fully closed-loop sensor-based loading technology, ensuring zero impact-related load errors. With a monitoring frequency of 100 Hz, it achieves a control accuracy of up to 0.5% throughout the process.
The loading system is directly connected to the load sensor—eliminating any intermediate components. The sensor measures the force applied to the pressure head in real time, allowing for precise adjustments. Coaxial loading technology is used, with no lever structures involved, making the system resistant to errors from friction and other mechanical influences.
The lead screw lifting mechanism operates within a closed-loop system and features dual linear frictionless bearings, ensuring smooth probe movement. This design significantly reduces the risk of aging or errors typically associated with traditional screw-driven systems.
Electrical Control Mechanism
Equipped with a high-quality electrical control box, the system uses reliable components from well-known brands along with a precision servo control system to ensure stable and accurate operation.
Safety Features
All motion paths are safeguarded with limit switches to ensure the equipment functions within a safe range. Except for essential exposed parts, the machine features a fully enclosed design to enhance user safety.
Operation & Display
Operated via a computer-controlled touchscreen interface, the system offers an intuitive, ergonomic design that is both functional and visually streamlined.
Indentation Measurement & Reading
Features a fully automatic Brinell hardness measurement system, delivering precise and consistent results without manual input.

Main Functions
- Automatic Measurement – Automatically captures the indentation, measures its diameter, and calculates the corresponding Brinell hardness value.
- Manual Measurement – Allows manual indentation measurement, with the system computing the Brinell hardness value based on input.
- Hardness Conversion – Converts Brinell hardness (HB) values into other hardness scales such as Vickers (HV), Rockwell (HR), and more.
- Data Statistics – Automatically calculates statistical values including average, variance, and other relevant metrics.
- Out-of-Range Alerts – Flags abnormal results; the system alerts users if the hardness value exceeds the specified threshold.
- Test Report Generation – Automatically creates test reports in editable Word format. Users can customize report templates.
- Data Storage – Saves all measurement data, including indentation images, for future reference.
- Additional Features – Includes a full suite of image processing and measurement tools, such as image capture, calibration, enhancement, geometric measurements, annotation, photo album management, and scheduled printing.
