Colorfastness To Perspiration Tester - QualiCFTP
Colorfastness To Perspiration Tester - QualiCFTP is designed to evaluate the colorfastness of textiles and leather when exposed to human perspiration.
During testing, a treated specimen is placed in the perspiration tester under controlled pressure and temperature for a set duration. The color change is then measured using a gray scale for accurate assessment.
Principle
A specimen, in contact with adjacent fabrics treated with artificial perspiration, is placed between two flat plates under controlled pressure and temperature. After a set period, the dried composite specimen is evaluated using a gray scale to assess fading and staining.
Applications
The perspiration tester is commonly used to assess the colorfastness of textiles and leather when exposed to perspiration.
Fading
Measures the degree of color loss that may occur during production, testing, and storage.
Staining
Evaluates the extent of color transfer to adjacent materials due to friction.
Artificial Perspiration
Uses various formulations to replicate real-world effects on materials.
Realistic Simulation
Replicates everyday conditions, including exposure to moisture and friction from skin contact.
Standardized Evaluation
Follows established testing methods to measure fading and compare samples against a gray scale for perspiration resistance.
Standard Compliance
Ensures products meet industry benchmarks and maintain expected quality levels.
