Copper and Silver Strip Corrosion Tester

QualiCCT™ D131 copper strip corrosion tester determines how corrosive fuels and oils are to copper under the ASTM D130 method. The unit holds polished copper strips in a heated sample for a defined temperature and time, after which the operator grades the tarnish against the ASTM copper strip corrosion standard. Qualitest built the QualiCCT™ D131 to test gasoline, aviation and turbine fuel, diesel, kerosene, lubricating oil, and other light petroleum fractions. A stainless steel constant temperature bath and PID control with auto-tuning keep every position at the set point within ±1°C.

The four-hole bath cover gives the QualiCCT™ D131 flexible capacity: it holds up to 12 test tubes, or two test shells and six test tubes together in a single run. A quincunx-shaped stirring blade keeps the bath medium moving so heat reaches each sample evenly. Paired constant temperature and auxiliary heaters bring the bath to temperature quickly and hold it steady between tests. The instrument ships with test tubes, copper strips, pressure vessels, a thermometer, and the carriers needed to start testing on arrival.
