De-Aired Water Supply System - QualiGTX™ DWS 30
De-Aired Water Supply System prepares degassed, temperature-controlled water for geosynthetics laboratories that run permeability, permittivity, and in-plane flow measurements. The unit holds a 30-liter charge, strips dissolved oxygen and carbon dioxide from the water, then brings that water to a stable test temperature before it reaches the instrument. Hose connections feed the conditioned water directly to permeameters, transmissivity rigs, and similar apparatus. Laboratories gain one repeatable water source instead of preparing batches by hand.
Two functions share a single cabinet. A compressor-driven refrigeration circuit and an electric heater work under digital PID control to hold the reservoir anywhere from 15°C to 105°C, so the same unit boils water for de-airing and then cools it back to the reference temperature the test method calls for. An adjustable 100 W pump moves water inside the tank or pushes it out to external equipment. Operators can also draw on the tank as a cold or heat source for other vessels in the lab.
Hydraulic test results depend heavily on the condition of the supply water. Dissolved gas that comes out of solution inside a specimen blocks pore channels and depresses measured flow, while drifting water temperature changes viscosity and forces larger correction factors. The QualiGTX™ DWS 30 addresses both problems at the source, which shortens setup time and tightens repeatability across operators and shifts. The floor-standing cabinet sits alongside the test bench and serves several instruments in turn.
