QualiE208™-3000 Drop Weight Tester is a fully automated Drop Weight Tester designed to determine the Nil-Ductility Temperature (NDT) of ferritic steels under dynamic loading. The system raises a calibrated hammer to a defined height and releases it from a static condition to impact a standard specimen.

The test result identifies the highest temperature at which brittle fracture occurs under the prescribed method, supporting material qualification for crack-sensitive service conditions.

Built for consistent, repeatable NDT workflows, the tester automates hammer lifting, specimen feeding/recovery, and “specimen-in-place” confirmation prior to impact. After each strike, the machine returns the impacted specimen and resets for the next test cycle—helping improve lab throughput and operator safety.
