Ferrograph Analysis Software QualiFG™ FAS is a software platform built to support image acquisition, wear-particle recognition, and analysis of ferrograms in one workflow. QualiFG™ FAS is a connected solution for labs using dual-analysis ferrographs, dual-rotary ferrographs, and thistle-tube ferrograph systems, with support for microscope-camera imaging, intelligent particle recognition, and report generation.

This Ferrograph software is designed for laboratories that want more consistent wear-debris review across operators and faster reporting from microscopy-based ferrography. This software is a deep-learning recognition model trained on large industrial used-oil image datasets, along with scalable architecture that can be customized for lab reporting workflows and data-system integration.

Theory and Method

A Ferrograph analysis workflow begins after a ferrogram is prepared and placed under a microscope. QualiFG™ FAS first captures ferrogram images through a supported microscope camera, then applies an intelligent recognition model to classify wear particles, and finally organizes the results into an analysis and reporting layer for review and export.

The recognition engine is described as a deep-learning model trained on tens of thousands of wear-particle images from industrial lubricating-oil samples. This helps the software classify particles more consistently across real-world sample variations.
