Ferrograph

A Ferrograph is an instrument or connected analysis system used to separate, observe, quantify, and interpret wear particles from in-service lubricants. In a typical ferrography workflow, wear debris is extracted from oil and arranged for visual or quantitative evaluation so analysts can understand wear severity, particle morphology, contamination level, and likely machine condition. This makes ferrography especially useful in predictive maintenance, oil analysis, and machinery reliability programs.

The QualiFG™ product family is designed to support the full ferrography workflow rather than a single isolated step. The uploaded brochure shows a complete lineup that covers dual analytical ferrograph preparation, fast dual-channel ferrogram making, laboratory ferrography, direct-reading screening, ferrograph microscopy, ferrograph image-analysis software, and portable field analysis. Together, these products support sample preparation, quantitative screening, microscopic review, digital interpretation, and onsite wear monitoring.

This range is well suited for oil analysis laboratories, maintenance teams, reliability engineers, and condition-monitoring programs working with lubricated machinery in transportation, steel and heavy industry, power generation, marine systems, and industrial rotating equipment. Across the series, the focus is earlier wear detection, clearer particle interpretation, and more standardized reporting.

1. Dual Analytical Ferrograph – QualiFG™ 1000

Dual Analytical Ferrograph – QualiFG™ 1000 is a laboratory Ferrograph built for dual-channel ferrogram preparation from used lubricants. It supports automatic, semi-automatic, and manual preparation modes and prepares two ferrograms at the same time for better daily throughput. This model is a strong fit for labs that want flexible operating modes with controlled magnetic separation and microscopy-ready ferrogram output.

2. Laboratory Dual Analysis Ferrograph – QualiFG™ 2000

Laboratory Dual Analysis Ferrograph – QualiFG™ 2000 is a dual-channel Ferrograph for wear-particle separation and ferrogram preparation from lubricating and hydraulic oils. It uses synchronous dual-channel preparation, automatic or semi-automatic handling, adjustable sample flow, and built-in waste handling to support faster routine analytical ferrography. This model fits labs that want higher throughput with repeatable ferrogram formation and lower manual workload.

3. Fast Dual Analysis Ferrograph – QualiFG™ 3000

Fast Dual Analysis Ferrograph – QualiFG™ 3000 is a faster dual-channel Ferrograph designed for in-service lubricating and hydraulic oils. It focuses on rapid ferrogram preparation, automatic handling, high-gradient magnetic separation, and less than 20-minute dual-ferrogram output. This model is a strong fit for labs that want quicker turnarounds without giving up microscopy-based wear interpretation.

4. Laboratory Ferrograph – QualiFG™ Lab

Laboratory Ferrograph – QualiFG™ Lab is a bench-top Ferrograph that uses a manual thistle-tube, gravity-driven flow path for ferrogram preparation. It is designed for repeatable wear-debris evaluation with low sample volume, low solvent demand, and no need for external compressed gas. This model is well suited for laboratories that want a simpler ferrography system for routine analytical work and microscopy follow-up.

5. Direct Reading Ferrograph – QualiFG™ DRF

Direct Reading Ferrograph – QualiFG™ DRF is a quantitative Ferrograph for rapid screening of ferromagnetic wear debris in used oils. It uses magnetic-gradient separation with optical reading to provide quick numeric wear-trend indicators, making it useful as a front-line screening tool before deeper analytical ferrography or microscopy. This model is ideal for trend monitoring and quick wear severity checks.

6. Ferrograph Microscope – QualiFG™ Micro

Ferrograph Microscope – QualiFG™ Micro is a microscope-based Ferrograph inspection platform for ferrogram observation, wear-particle identification, and image-based reporting. It uses an infinite optical system with 50X to 1000X total magnification, brightfield and darkfield objectives, and reflected and transmitted illumination. This model is intended for detailed ferrogram review, wear-mode classification, and documentation.

7. Ferrograph Analysis Software – QualiFG™ FAS

Ferrograph Analysis Software – QualiFG™ FAS is a connected software platform for image acquisition, wear-particle recognition, and wear analysis. It supports dual-analysis ferrographs, dual-rotary ferrographs, and thistle-tube ferrograph systems. With real-time acquisition, deep-learning-based recognition, and reporting tools, this product helps labs standardize ferrograph interpretation and reporting.

8. Portable Ferrograph Analyzer – QualiFG™ Port

Portable Ferrograph Analyzer – QualiFG™ Port is a compact field-ready Ferrograph for fast evaluation of ferromagnetic wear debris in lubricating oil. It combines electromagnetic particle adsorption with image-recognition technology and supports trend analysis, wear-type classification, and report generation directly from the instrument. This model is best for onsite screening and rapid maintenance decisions.

Why Choose QualiFG™ Series for Your Ferrograph Instruments?

A complete ferrography ecosystem

QualiFG™ is not limited to one instrument type. The series covers ferrogram preparation, direct-reading screening, microscopy, software-based interpretation, and portable field analysis. That makes it easier to build a full ferrography workflow from one coordinated product family.

Options for both lab and field use

This series includes bench-top laboratory ferrographs, direct-reading screening systems, microscope platforms, software, and portable analyzers. This gives users more flexibility to choose tools for central laboratory work, shop-floor screening, or route-based field inspections.

Better support for predictive maintenance

The QualiFG™ series is designed to help users detect abnormal wear earlier, identify wear type more clearly, and support maintenance decisions with stronger evidence. Whether the need is fast quantitative screening or full microscopy-based wear-particle interpretation, the lineup supports predictive maintenance workflows more effectively.

Strong coverage across industries

The uploaded brochure repeatedly positions the QualiFG™ range for transportation, steel and heavy industry, electric power, marine systems, and industrial rotating assets. That broad applicability makes the series a practical choice for teams working across different machine types and lubrication systems.

Scalable product family

The series lets users scale from simpler tools to more advanced workflows. A team can begin with direct-reading wear screening, add laboratory ferrogram preparation, expand into microscope-based review, and then standardize interpretation using dedicated software. This makes the QualiFG™ family useful for labs that want room to grow.

Better consistency in wear-particle analysis

Across the lineup, the focus is repeatable particle separation, clear ferrogram presentation, standardized interpretation, and easier reporting. Dual-channel systems improve throughput, microscope systems improve identification, software improves classification, and portable analyzers improve speed in the field. Together, these strengths help make ferrography more consistent and actionable.
