Moving Die Rheometer (MDR)
Moving Die Rheometers | ASTM D5289 & ISO 6502-3 Rubber Cure Testing
A moving die rheometer measures how a rubber compound cures by oscillating a sealed die cavity and recording the torque rise as crosslinks form. Compounders, tire plants, and QC labs read minimum torque, maximum torque, scorch time, and t90 from the cure curve. Qualitest supplies rotorless curemeters built to ASTM D5289 and ISO 6502-3. Each removes the rotor cleanup step that slows oscillating disc testing.
The range covers two configurations. One is a high-capacity automated system for shift-length unattended runs. The other is a precision instrument with micrometric die gap control and a compact loader. Both report the full cure parameter set through PC software.
