Pneumatic Method A Dart Drop Tester Model DX-8285A

We offer a full range of manual and pneumatic dart impact testers, dart heads, weights, and stems, all meeting ASTM D 1709 standards. The Model DX-8285A is a pneumatic clamping Method A dart impact tester, featuring two air cylinders to actuate the upper clamp ring and a pneumatic dart release system. It measures the impact resistance of plastic films, sheets, and laminated materials using the free-falling dart method, with a drop height of 26 inches (66.0 cm) and a 412-gram dart set.

The system includes a complete Method A dart set, which features a phenolic dart head, aluminum dart stem, set screw collar, and a full set of stainless steel dart weights. An aluminum dart head is available as an option.

The Series 8000 Dart Impact Tester meets the specifications of ASTM D1709 Methods A & B, the standard test method for free-falling dart impact testing of plastic film.
