Theory and Method
Peel cling testing measures the self-adhesive force between layers of stretch film without the use of external adhesives. In the QualiSFPCT™ system, a standard strip of stretch film is peeled from a backing film mounted on a fixed incline.
The test is performed at a controlled speed (typically 125 mm/min), and the maximum peel force required to separate the layers is recorded. This force represents the film’s peel cling strength and directly correlates to load stability, containment force, and resistance to unwinding during transport.
The system ensures consistent results through precise motion control, direct load-cell force measurement, and real-time curve analysis.
